Bui Bolg back from Beijing?
Bui Bolg was thrilled to present their hilarious show “The Chancy Brothers” at the International Culture and Tourism Festival in Beijing. People really enjoyed the Bui Bolg puppets and couldn't believe their eyes as the giant characters moved through the crowds. Many thanks again to Culture Ireland and Events International for this incredible opportunity!
A perfect story would end here, but Breda the world wandering landlady and the Chancies decided to stay in Beijing for another week!! Which leads us to our next predicament...

International Puppet Festival
We had hoped to present “The Chancy Brothers” in their home country of Ireland this weekend at the International Puppet Festival, but due to Breda and the Boys extended trip in China they might not make it in time!!
But don’t worry even if they don’t get back: THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!
So we have casted some Chancy look alikes just in case... in the meantime fingers crossed the real Chancies arrive, where they will be roundly scolded for taking such liberties!
So you are all invited to come and find out for yourself what happens. Either way the show goes on this Sunday the 23rd October in Temple Bar at 11am and at the Mermaid Theatre Plaza in Bray at 4 pm.

Bollywood, Baby!
Bui Bolg was commissioned with the production of a large scale pageant which features in the new Bollywood movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (‘Once there was a tiger’) which was filmed in Dublin. Bui Bolg was a part of a huge parade with an amazing collection of their best floats and costumes like enchanted swans, leaping lobsters and the firey phoenix. Huge thanks to all the hard-working performers who were fantastic in our first ever Bollywood film.
